Concerned whiteboard guy is witness to your horrendous inability to choose pizza toppings.
One of the finest real moments in recent Bronnicles history
It's the little things.
Fun Farseer drawing after seeing the Ulthwe DLC pack for DOW2. I am going to have to learn how to do those wraithbone .... well I don't know what to call them, those osseous winglike protrusions on the back of the chestplate armor (Warning, large image) : http://community.dawnofwar2.com/sites/dawnofwar2.com/files/images/relic00024.jpg
My attempt at a Grordbort style heavy weapons guy gun for today's minicrit comic. I'll probably have another go at it to fix the things like that thing in the middle of the spinning barrel area being off-center or the top set of fins on the charge collector underneath getting kind of wonky.
Had this one happen on Saturday, was fun times
Turns out it was the 40k book, Atlas Infernal, it is amazing so far. On Friday I made a sandwich and went "Hey, it looks nice out, I'll go eat outside!" I opened the door, felt the blast of heat roll in, immediately shut it and ate inside instead. SCREW YOU, OUTDOORS.
Somebody's broken into Hogwarts?!
Drew an Eldar Shadowseer Harlequin. I definitely want to have another go at this one, looking at it now, I don't feel like the pose is right. I originally wanted to have a fast moving Shadowseer with a domino field going, but I am going to need more practice on capturing action. Time to get doodling!
Still practicing action poses with Harlequins, got caught up sketching up an autarch instead. Based it off of this image because it was the biggest I could find: http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics14/img4acfb2b774a0e.jpgAdded some mandiblasters for good measure since he seems to be lacking in a shuriken pistol.
Today I drew the monster from "Un Monstre a Paris" as seen in this video: Vanessa Paradis & -M- "La seine" (Extrait du film "Un monstre à Paris") and the poster: http://www.impawards.com/intl/france/2011/posters/un_monstre_a_paris_xlg.jpgThat song gets stuck in my head for long stretches at a time, I hope the lyrics aren't something embarrassing, because I have NO idea what I'm saying.
This is what my brain does every time I decide I want to grow some facial hair
About to go home and use some markers on the comic to be uploaded tonight. Here's an unrelated set of brush pen sketches of an Eldar Ranger whose little cartoony head looks like a carrot. For now, he's gonna be Carrot. Also looks like I need to practice walking poses. That'll be tomorrow's thing hopefully.
Alright, here's today's drawing practice: walk cycles. I thought that there were only one or two points during a walk cycle that both didn't look silly and clearly conveyed "walking," but I'm finding that even the points in between, though sometimes silly looking (see: bottom left guy) still conveys the appropriate movement.
I got caught singing the "They're taking the hobbits to ISENGARD" youtube song today at work. That was awkward.
Went to the Ren Faire yesterday, here's a quick recap, will probably do ren-faire mini comics for the daily sketches this week. That third panel. whaaaaat is happening with those arms.
Been in meetings all day at the office, but I did do a really quick whiteboard drawing of Ranger Carrot and... I guess that's a Fire Dragon talking to a guardsman. Am I getting Eldar size correct, I have always assumed through the fluff that they were very tall when compared to humans, more on the scale of an Astartes, just... skinnier.
This happens just about every day.
Here's some Autarch sketches in that "featureless" style I seem to be doing 40k things in recently. (progression from left to right. Probably going to keep the rightmost ones) He still definitely needs something on his helmet, though.
Tycho, you can borrow my Stefanimeter if you need it, although I think the calibration's a bit off.
This is what happens when an idea gets out of hand
I'm gonna have to get into the BIOS setup and put "eyes" at the start of the boot sequence so this doesn't happen more
Today's lunchtime sketch - OLD MAN COMMISSAR! I bet these guys declare everything they don't like heresy. UGH this heretical elevator is taking TOO LONG to reach my floor! I want it decommissioned!
Had some great hospital adventures last night, will likely be making short hospital comics for a bit. My MRI was pushed back because of emergency patients, so I strutted around the labyrinthine hospital to the other tests in my MRI duds. The "schooner mainsail" look is so in this season, you guys. Just look at them - http://i.imgur.com/o38EL.jpg
More MRI adventures! I was in that damn MRI tube for over an hour, IT WAS BORING. Getting an MRI is like hanging out a well lit coffin with bad dubstep.
Another hospital adventure comic. This lady was the best
